Dear Patrons and Friends of TryLight Theatre Co,

At the end of TryLight Theatre Co’s 30th anniversary year, we want to thank each and every one of you for being the “community” that has made Kenora’s community theatre a success!

What is community theatre without all the individuals, organizations, businesses, governing bodies, professionals, and volunteers that make up a community? Thankfully, TryLight Theatre Co has not had to consider what that might look like as the company has enjoyed strong, friendly, willing, unique, resilient, creative support from countless community members. Here are some of the roles that were filled most recently by some of our talented community members in the production of Annie.

Given that #CommunityTheatreisAliveandWell, and should health protocols allow, in spring 2022, TryLight is reviving Over the River and Through the Woods, the hilarious and heartwarming story of what it means to be family.

In June of 2022, TryLight Theatre for Young People will present the classic, Canterbury Tales, rewritten for youth but very entertaining for adults.

In the fall of 2022, we will stage All is Calm, a nostalgic look at a WW I Christmas story that shouldn’t have been.

A top priority has been and is to open the doors to participants and patrons in as safe a manner as possible. Our company protocols worked well during rehearsals and performances of Annie. We anticipate these procedures and practices will serve us well into the future. All cast and crew who are able will be fully vaccinated while participating in any production. Patrons will need to show proof of vaccination to attend a performance and wear a mask to enter the theatre. And, of course, there will be plenty of hand-sanitizer to go around.

For those who are still not comfortable gathering or are far away, TryLight will continue to live stream any show for which streaming rights can be purchased.

To all of you that have supported us in the past and we anticipate will support the company into the future, many thanks. We are delighted to be able to say that

#CommunityTheatreisAliveandWell.
