Dear Patrons and Friends of TryLight Theatre Co,

After an extended intermission due to the COVID 19 pandemic, TryLight Theatre Co is delighted to announce that cast, crew and volunteers are returning to the stage!

“We are thrilled to announce our 2021-2022 season. We are hoping that our extended intermission is finally over.” says TryLight’s Artistic Director Gord Day-Janz.

To kick off the season and end the company’s 30th Anniversary year TryLight will be presenting the musical Annie from Saturday, November 27 – Saturday, December 4. The production was all set for opening in April 2020 when the pandemic lockdown began. Most of the original cast will be returning. Rehearsals began Sunday, September 19th.

In the spring of 2022, TryLight is reviving Over the River and Through the Woods, the hilarious and heartwarming story of what it means to be family.

In June of 2022, TryLight Theatre for Young People will present the classic, Canterbury Tales, rewritten for youth but very entertaining for adults.

In the fall of 2022, we will stage All is Calm, a nostalgic look at a WW I Christmas story that shouldn’t have been.

A top priority is to open the doors to participants and patrons in as safe a manner as possible. A tentative protocol will be in place to guide the company through this transition period. At a minimum all cast and crew who are able will be fully vaccinated while participating in any production. Other safety procedures and practices will also be put in place during rehearsals and performances. Patrons will need to show proof of vaccination to attend a performance and wear a mask to enter the theatre. And, of course, there will be plenty of hand-sanitizer to go around.

For those who are still not comfortable gathering or are far away, TryLight will also be live streaming any show for which streaming rights can be purchased.

To all of you that have supported us before and during our long intermission, many thanks. We are delighted to be able to ask you to #PleaseReturnToYourSeatsSafely.
