TryLight Theatre Co. Is pleased to announce that Phil Burke’s play “Rats” will have it’s world premiere as part of our TryLight Theatre in the Summer 2013. The play takes place in the days leading up to the day when Rat Portage became Kenora. It is a humorous look at a time full of change for this region.
Phil Burke has regularly contributed vignettes for TryLight to perform, many of which are seen on our City Walking Tour. He has filled “Rats” with all the wacky characters we are accustomed to finding in his historical stories. The play can be seen on TryLight’s stage August 13 - 17, 2013
TryLight is also pleased to announce it’s summer schedule. City Walking Tours will begin on July 5 and run through to August 17 and Dennis Hassel’s Water Stories will be performed from July 13 to August 10, on TryLight’s stage.
The City Walking Tours will begin and in the side yard at 510 Second Street, South, TryLight’s home. Parking at the back of the building and on the street is free. Times of all the performances will be announced later in May.
On Wednesday’s we will be performing Water Stories at the Kenora Discovery Centre. These performances will be free.
